Selected images accumulate in the tank. Images that lived as data, easily consumed and easily gone, are printed. Images in various formats and textures are rearranged according to the judgement of whoever opens the tank's shelves. Rearranged in this way, the images take the form of another tank, another book. The new tank is variable: it can be broken apart and bound again by whoever selects and composes it. Each tank that becomes a book has a supple body and a hard shell around it. The tank calls to mind the way such images are given a place and a name in a repository and settle there. This sequence of acts is TANK Press's own way of preserving the fleeting image whose disappearance would be a loss, and the realisation of what we, who care for images and books, can do best. Books in the TANK system are published as a kind of series, each taking a different physical form according to the material qualities and format that suit the images gathered.

탱크에 선별된 이미지들이 쌓인다. 데이터로 머물며 쉽게 소비되고 사라지던 이미지가 인쇄된다. 다양한 판형과 질감을 가진 이미지들은 탱크의 책장을 열어젖히는 이들의 주관에 따라 재구성을 거친다. 이렇게 재구성된 이미지들은 또 다른 탱크, 또 다른 책의 모습을 한다. 새로운 탱크는 가변적이며, 선별과 구성의 주체에 의해 와해되고 다시 묶일 수 있는 구조를 갖는다. 책이 된 탱크들은 저마다 유연한 몸과 이를 둘러싼 단단한 껍질을 지닌다. 탱크는 이러한 이미지들이 수장고에 자리와 이름을 받아 눌러앉는 모양새를 연상한다. 일련의 행위는 소멸하기에 아쉬운 찰나의 이미지를 보존하는 TANK Press만의 방식이며, 이미지와 책을 아끼는 우리가 가장 잘 할 수 있는 일의 실현이다. TANK 시스템 도서는 일종의 시리즈로 발간되며, 누적되는 이미지에 어울리는 물성과 판형에 따라 매 시리즈마다 책의 형태를 달리한다.
